2019 Under 15 Program of Excellence

Hockey Northwestern Ontario, the date for the  2019 Under-15 Program of Excellence Development Camp is May 10-12, 2019. The camp will take place in Thunder Bay, introducing young players – and their families – to the high-performance stream.

The goal of each U-15 camp is to introduce players, families, and staff to high-performance hockey and the Program of Excellence. The program is designed to be informative and provide on-ice skill sessions for individual player development regardless if you are a AAA, AA or A level player.  This camp is open to all skill levels.

The camp is open to HNO Bantam (U15) age players (2004 & 2005 birth years) on a first come first serve basis.  The camp will take 80 participants (8 goaltenders, 24 defencemen and 48 forwards). Interested players can register at:

This camp also provides a great opportunity for coaches who are looking to acquire Professional Development Points in maintaining their certification and/or want to develop their skill and knowledge working along side SIJHL coaches. Coaching spots are limited and will be upon selection basis. Interested coaches can apply here.

With the new partnership with the SIJHL, the camp will serve as development camp with an introduction to Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence programming and HNO’s Under 16 team, and an opportunity for the SIJHL’s coaches to work with the next generation of junior players.  It will also provide the league an opportunity to speak with parents and players about what the SIJHL has to offer and the opportunities that exist in Northwestern Ontario for junior A hockey.
